As a Technical Project Manager you will be energized to deliver numerous successful projects (delivered on time, exceeding requirements, with high overall team satisfaction), while working in coordination with the VP, Technology Strategy and Operations. In addition, this position will facilitate the definition of project goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; and develop methods to monitor progress of project or area. This role will require detailed project documentation development, facilitating of process and system engineering sessions, root cause analysis, and expert problem solving.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning and Management
  • Develops comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Defines project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Team Leadership:
  • Leads, mentors, and motivates project team members to ensure project success
  • Assigns tasks and responsibilities to project team members and tracks their progress
  • Facilitates communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including developers, engineers, and other departments
Technical Expertise:
  • Provides technical guidance and support to the project team
  • Ensures that technical projects are feasible and that solutions are aligned with company objectives
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends to apply innovative solutions
Risk Management:
  • Identifies and mitigates project risks and issues
  • Develops risk management plans and contingency strategies to ensure project success
Quality Assurance:
  • Ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Conducts quality assurance checks and ensures that deliverables meet the required standards and specifications
Stakeholder Management
  • Plans meetings in advance, prepares agendas, sets meeting goals, and follows up with minutes
  • Reports project status updates to key stakeholders and department heads via weekly or biweekly emails or meetings
  • Provides regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, risks, and performance
  • Manages vendor relationships and oversees the selection and management of external project resources

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or a related field
  • 5-8 + years of Project Management in a mature project delivery environment using a variety of methodologies, frameworks, and tools
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum)
  • Strong familiarity with various SDLC methodologies
  • Open and effective communication style, excellent public presentation skills, and the ability to interact with and influence key stakeholders with clear and concise communication
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to provide solutions to business challenges using technology and/or analytics
  • Experience with project management software and tools
  • End-to-end project management including stakeholder management, core team management, facilitation, planning, and budgeting
  • Ability to pivot and adapt to changing strategy and roadmap and keep teams and deliverables moving together
  • Solid understanding of software development and test methodologies
  • Effectively manage time to focus on what is important and to delegate appropriately

PREFERRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
  • Extensive experience in managing SAP or other tier-1 ERP systems, with a strong understanding of structured implementation and upgrade methodologies.
  • Proven track record in systems implementation, development, operations, maintenance, and support within a publicly traded company.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively drive large teams and build collaborative relationships.
  • Intelligent, articulate, engaging, organized, and detail oriented, and ability to remain composed in high stress situations.

COMPENSATION:

  • $120,000 – $140,000 – varies by location and experience
