The Senior Director of Strategy and Enablement is and enterprise-wide role working with senior leaders to help refine their business segment and functional support strategies especially as it pertains to driving 1-5 year growth and competitive differentiation.

This role plans and directs select administrative, financial, and operational activities for the C- Suite. The successful candidate partners with other leaders, the C Suite (CEO and CFO), and their Administrative Assistant to better organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the executive to facilitate efficient decision-making. Based in St. Petersburg, FL, this role provides ever-ready partnership to the CEO and the CFO on a range of strategic and tactical matters. This role will drive excellence in a high-volume, high-velocity environment to bridge this geographically distributed leadership team.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Takes the strategic lead on projects and initiatives, providing leadership in research, conceptualization, analysis and recommendations; brings together multiple stakeholders and helps remove roadblocks and drive decisions
  • Develops an appropriate decision architecture to deliver recommendations, secure commitment for decisions, and activate those in speedy timeframes in order to drive “fast change”
  • Manages, follows up and advises on strategic projects, and ensure that deadlines are respected with the highest quality delivered
  • Oversees priority setting, ensuring efficient functioning of each department toward the initiatives outlined by the C-Suite
  • Organizes and gathers information from various departments and reports that information along with recommendations to the CEO and CFO.
  • Supports CEO and CFO  in speech writing, meeting preparation, reviewing upcoming meetings, sending out agendas or documents, ensuring clear action items and follow-up meetings are planned
  • Proactively  engages with business teams, keeping a pulse on the business and connecting the dots across the company
  • Exhibits flexibility and willingness to perform varying duties depending on the shifting needs of the company
  • Provides outstanding management and support for key executive responsibilities as well as special initiatives
  • Interacts with internal and external stakeholders to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years in investment banking, private equity, a finance role or a strategy role in a consulting firm, or an in- house role at Fortune 500 company
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mathematics, Accounting or Finance required, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of business experience developing and implementing strategic initiatives, financial analysis and/or general business administration including communication plans and presentations
  • Highly structured and analytical thinker, with significant experience interacting with and advising senior executives
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high sense of urgency environment with high levels of personal accountability
  • Ability to navigate competing priorities, changing priorities and ambiguity
  • Relationship builder who influences through strong, trust-based relationships
  • Proven record of securing and aligning commitment from internal partners across the organization
