JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director, Finance & Operations analytics will ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­drive financial decisions and profitability improvement through transparent P&L reporting, as well as detailed analysis on a variety of financial metrics. We are a data driven, results-oriented Finance team focused on partnering with senior leaders to influence decisions and drive outcomes to deliver shareholder value.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owns full preparation, analysis, and presentation of P&L statements at the business unit and various segment levels (CID, FSH, & DTC businesses)
  • Produces monthly forecast, analysis and reporting of Gross Margin and SG&A while coordinating with the S&OP team on all sales elements
  • Owns all aspects of the annual and long-term Plan (i.e., development and compilation, process, timelines and presentation).
  • Oversees Gross Margin optimization through pricing analysis / establishing a pricing and promotional strategy as well as maximizing sell thru of discontinued products
  • Performs operational analysis and optimization focused on shipping fees, returns, value added service (VAS) charges, and associated warehouse expenses
  • Focuses on providing accurate, timely and actionable analysis to support decision making and performance measurement. Power BI and associated dashboard development will be a key tool to leverage
  • Defines the metrics required to measure business performance, compare actual data to forecasted values, and help Senior Leadership develop a plan for identifying and addressing performance opportunities and gaps
  • Engages and challenges Senior Leadership on direction and strategy, ensuring that the business goals are achieved while maintaining prudence in financial control and asset protection
  • Compares performance with historical results, report on and interpret results of operations and relevant key performance indicators
  • Partners and collaborates cross functionally (accounting, S&OP, sourcing, marketing, sales, etc.) to achieve results
  • Coordinates with corporate teams including finance, IT, and accounting to support company needs

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a fast-paced dynamic environment, preferably with a background in retail or wholesale business setting
  • 5+ year’ experience leading teams and consistently delivering results
  • Excel (expert), PowerPoint, Power BI (or similar data visualization software), and SAP
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
