JOB SUMMARY

We know the best design thinking can influence every aspect of a consumer’s experience with the brand – which is why we are hiring a Digital Design Art Director to join our team.

This role demands a hands-on, digitally focused creative leader who has proven experience in developing and deploying an elevated digital design style guide that brings to life our brand strategy and seasonal marketing campaign concepts through UX, web and mobile based creative design solutions.  

This role is crucial in improving the consumer experience on our recently launched DTC site (Winkscrubs.com) and across all digital touchpoints including: performance media, web design, email marketing, social media, A+ digital shelf content with our wholesale and marketplace partners. You will maintain and enhance our existing creative marketing strategy with a focus on increased reach across digital channels by applying exceptional production design skills across all digital channels (site, email, social, etc.).

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with the senior director of Integrated Marketing and agency partners to brief in and develop elevated storytelling concepts into seasonal campaigns that will deliver a best-in-class digital commerce focused consumer journey.
  • Maintains and enhances our existing creative marketing strategy with a focus on increased reach across digital channels by translating creative concepts into seasonal design assets
  • Partners with team members and agencies to guide the design process from start to finish by participating in team ideation, helping advance all concepts, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of all deliverables to the highest standards
  • Collaborates with DTC performance marketing team to translate wireframes into simple, easy-to-use responsive user interfaces across multiple platforms
  • Researches and proposes additional site design improvements in tandem with DTC.com web agency
  • Designs and produces comprehensive digital design executions to foster brand awareness, increase engagement, support sales growth objectives, and increase consumer lifetime value on winkscrubs.com by creating engaging responsive site layouts such as : homepages, landing pages, PDP pages and grid banners
  • Stays current on trends and new techniques in the digital design world, as well as best practices in user experience and ad design, integrating those findings and understanding into seasonal design solutions
  • Partners with operations teams to scope projects and forecast resourcing needs to build production capacity, communicating needs and trade-offs when appropriate
  • Documents and archives all work and files logically and in a timely manner for team/studio access
  • Mentors junior staff, providing direction and assisting in their development

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience as a visual graphics designer, creative director, design director, or similar creative role 
  • Demonstrated experience leading Creative for consumer-centric digital and ecommerce campaigns
  • Expertise managing complex planning schedules, with flexibility to changing priorities for data-based decisions
  • An accessible online portfolio demonstrating successful, user-centered creative across a range of channels, aesthetics, and project budgets
  • Extensive technical ability including a working knowledge of digital prototyping and versioning via AI design platform systems like Superside AI
  • History keeping up-to-date with digital innovations and competitors
  • Experience leading and producing large scale digital campaigns such as Cyber, Holiday, Seasonal Sale, etc.
  • Proven track record of communicating clearly with staff, management, vendors, customer, and clients; this includes adapting to be effective with a multitude of personalities and circumstances
  • Ability to translate product positioning, existing research, and online marketing strategies into effective designs across all creative executions
  • Ability to effectively take direction and work collaboratively as well as autonomously

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in apparel industry is preferred
