Attendees of the 2010 ARTA Green Summit include associates, suppliers, operators and manufacturers that support the textile maintenance industry. New life cycle assessment research, how-to information and tools to market the benefits of reusable textiles will be discussed. Informational sessions and exhibits will also cover how to enhance and measure the sustainability of current operations and showcase eco-friendly textiles and apparel.
Henry, with more than two decades of uniform and image apparel marketing and design experience, will make the business case for incorporating eco-friendly textiles into product design. The educational presentation, Becoming FabriConscious®, scheduled for July 23, will address the pros and cons of various popular and emerging eco-friendly choices, including recycled polyester, organic cotton, bamboo, soy, and seaweed. Attendees will also learn more about production methods, supply chain availability and comfort—and the motivating business factors for making the switch to eco-friendly fabrics.
