Superior Group of Companies™ Receives Top Honors at the 2019 NAUMD Image of the Year® Awards

SEMINOLE, FL – April 18, 2019 – Superior Group of Companies™ (NASDAQ: SGC), through our esteemed brands Fashion Seal Healthcare®, WonderWink®, and Carhartt®, received three prestigious awards: Image of the Year® (IOY) Award in the Healthcare category and two Innovation Awards. The awards were announced at the North American Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors (NAUMD) conference held April 9, 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Image of the Year® Awards are presented by the Image Apparel Institute and recognize fashion, function, creativity and innovation in apparel design.

The Fashion Seal Healthcare® uniform program for ImageFIRST® Healthcare Laundry Specialists won the Image of the Year® Award in the Healthcare category. ImageFIRST® specializes in providing healthcare linen rental and other laundry needs to more than 10,000 medical offices across the country, both small and large and from a wide array of specialties. ImageFIRST® prides itself with over 50 years of healthcare expertise to help their partners with their top priority: providing quality patient care.

“We had the opportunity to work closely with ImageFIRST® to deliver a product that encompassed everything their customers were looking for that their current programs weren’t measuring up to,” said Peter Benstock, President of Fashion Seal Healthcare®. “We were able to help boost customer satisfaction by providing a retail-inspired rental program and direct sale garments from our Simply Soft line that were stylish, comfortable, and durable enough for laundry care.”

The WonderWink® WonderTECH collection was awarded for Best Fabric in the Innovation category. WonderTECH medical uniforms are designed with fabric that uses a patented technology developed by 37.5®. The 37.5® Technology keeps your body at the ideal core temperature of 37.5° Celsius. When the wearer is hot, patented active particles remove sweat at the vapor stage. When they are cold, those same particles trap the body’s energy to warm them up. “This technology is particularly useful for healthcare workers who are constantly on-the-go.” said H.P. Park, President of CID Resources, the creators of the WonderWink® brand.

The Carhartt® LIBERTY Medical Uniform line won for Best Garment Innovation, specifically focused on Function. The Carhartt® LIBERTY medical uniforms are designed for optimal functionality with features such as, mesh lined pockets, ventilated mesh back and underarm paneling for breathability, as well as strategic seaming and designs that elevate the garment usage for performance. Carhartt® LIBERTY is a Force® product, which encompasses Stain Breaker®, FastDry® and Rugged Flex® technologies into the fabric. All of these attributes combined provide a unique and elevated garment.
