Job Title:            Staff Accountant

Status:               Exempt   

The Staff Accountant will assist the Sr. Accountant with the Company’s month-end closing process.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries for posting, including maintaining supporting documentation
  • Perform timely and proper balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly sales commissions and reporting to upper management
  • Prepare and analyze SAP reports and ad-hoc reports as needed
  • Assist with treasury functions, including: bank reconciliations, reporting daily cash, tracking of cleared checks, etc.
  • Maintain supporting records for fixed asset additions
  • Perform credit card receipt accruals, settlements and reconciliations
  • Assist with the tie-out of SEC filings, including Form 10-Qs and Form 10-Ks

Requirements:

Required Education/Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
  • Excellent computer skills; intermediate Microsoft Excel User
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization
  • Requires high degree of professionalism and strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience preferred

Conducting all research, analyses and interpretations in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the appropriate scientific community.
