Staff Accountant (Remote)

JOB SUMMARY
The staff accountant will accurately maintain a general ledger, assist with month-end closing, and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare journal entries for posting, including maintaining supporting documentation;
- Perform timely and proper balance sheet reconciliations;
- Assist in the preparation of monthly sales commissions and reporting to upper management;
- Prepare and analyze SAP reports and ad-hoc reports as needed;
- Assist with identifying revenue and cost of sales accruals at month-end;
- Maintain supporting records for fixed asset additions;
- Perform credit card receipt accruals, settlements and reconciliations; and
- Assist with the tie-out of SEC filings, including Form 10-Qs and Form 10-Ks.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
- Excellent computer skills; intermediate Microsoft Excel User
- Requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization
- Requires high degree of professionalism and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience
- Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Big 4 experience preferred
