Sr. Corporate Accountant — Seminole, FL
The Corporate Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of financial reporting and corporate accounting functions to support a timely and accurate financial statement close process. Areas of primary focus will include fixed assets, sales commissions and consolidations. This position has career advancement and growth opportunities.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform the global consolidation of the Company’s financial statements;
- Process all fixed asset transactions in the Fixed Assets sub-ledger, including additions, retirements, reclassifications and transfers for all business units in SAP;
- Independently calculate, summarize and submit sales commissions to be paid to applicable employees based on the established framework;
- Oversee certain aspects of the Corporate Accounting month-end close, including credit card accruals, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, lease accounting and cash flow statement;
- Take ownership of the consolidation framework including maintaining the global chart of accounts and related GL mapping;
- Help lead future systems initiatives that address improved timeliness of month-end close and efficiency of account reconciliations, including implementation of LongView and related financial reporting enhancements; and
- Assist in the preparation of SEC filings, including Reports on Form 10-Qs and Form 10-Ks.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting;
- 5+ years of corporate accounting or public accounting
- Experience with accounting close and consolidation reporting experience required;
- Experience working in an ERP environment. SAP preferred;
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization
