JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director, Product Line Merchandising Manager will lead initiatives focused on the integration of merchandising strategies with product line development and organizational objectives to drive revenue growth and deliver greater market share for strategic categories. This role requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure a cohesive approach to product presentation, line management, and market positioning. The person in this role must have demonstrated experience blending consumer insights and competitive marketplace opportunities to expand and build new business for CID Resources and Fashion Seal Healthcare.

It is key that the Senior Director, Product Line Merchandise Manager has a strong understanding of what is trending in the market and can translate it into a seasonal product line strategy for design and development through to recommended and directed assortments for sales and marketing to ensure successful marketplace development that drives growth.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Line Management:

  • Develops and drives thoughtful product line management strategies that provide significant differentiation in the marketplace
  • Oversee the entire product line lifecycle, from strategic planning to tactical activities, ensuring a streamlined approach to product introduction, updates, and retirement.
  • Collaborate with product creation and development teams to identify opportunities for new product introductions that align with market needs and organizational goals.
  • Coordination of Product Life-Cycle Management: Develop and manage strategies for the phase-out of products, including determining optimal timing and methods for retiring products from the market; Coordinate with sales, marketing, and inventory management teams to manage stock levels, communicate discontinuations, and transition customers to newer offerings.
  • Partner with Product design and head of marketing to help support product presentations at sales meetings, trade shows or key account pre-lines

Merchandising Execution:

  • Influences the financial plans, in alignment with current performance and brand direction
  • Ensure that merchandising strategies complement product launches, maximizing market impact and consumer appeal.
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to refine merchandising approaches and report on SKU effectiveness in order to optimize the line
  • Builds and drives productive seasonal assortments that enables sales to deliver their financial KPIs while reflecting the brand priorities and retailer nuances, (ie. Creates directed assortments by distribution channel and tier)
  • Provides Go-to-Market tools with recommendations on SKU targets, product flow, and investment strategies
  • Drives and presents merchandising POV at all key milestone meetings in order to strategically optimize product placement and visibility in various sales channels

Cross-Departmental collaboration and Collaborative Strategy development:

  • Work closely with various departments to develop and implement merchandising strategies that align with product capabilities and organizational goals.
  • Owns the seasonal GTM calendar in partnership with Brand, Product Strategy and Sales
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communications to align strategies and share market insights, thus helping serve as a liaison between product creation, marketing, sales, and external partners to ensure seamless execution of merchandising strategies.
  • Foster strong relationships with product creation team, sales, brand and marketing to understand product features and potential market impacts.
  • Partner with product creation and marketing to conduct market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitive strategies.
  • This is a dual report into the President of Superior Uniform Group Healthcare and dotted line into the SVP of Brand and strategy

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • BA or BS in Business, Merchandising, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Buying or Merchandising Planning
  • 3 – 5 years of leadership experience in a merchandising capacity
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (specifically Excel) and Google docs
  • Must be a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, and strong environment
  • Excellent time management, communication (written & verbal) and organization skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, globally, and influence key customers.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects at once
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and frequent change
  • History of and willingness to take initiative, and capacity to work independently
  • Positive demeanor and ability to work in a team environment
  • Willing and able to learn and have fun!
