JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Manager ensures that the quality of the apparel products manufactured for Superior Group of Companies meet and exceed the expectations of our customers. This position inspects all product against the specification from each factory, and documents the findings. Responsibility includes ensuring all product received is packaged according to our packaging standards including an accurate count of contents.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads QC Coordination and schedules inspections and audits
  • Continually monitors inbound shipments to ensure consistent quality, conducts regular audits, and maintains detailed records and correspondence.
  • Establishes inbound inspection process to ensure the product received meets the expected standard for quality and color
  • Maintains vendor scorecard and publishes monthly reports measuring vendor performance on quality
  • Reports all quality issues discovered in audit process to Director of Quality
  • Evaluates customer complaints related to quality, and determines root cause of complaint
  • Creates and maintains scorecards for each vendor; provides analysis, trends, and reporting as required by senior management

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma
  • 3 years of experience in warehousing/auditing role.
  • Experience leading teams, especially through adverse or difficult business-related situations toward a common goal /objective. Able to see program/objectives through successfully
  • Familiarity with all garment inspection methods, quality control and sampling techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and appropriate external parties
  • Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills
  • Must have strong basic math skills, also must be proficient in developing and interpreting statistical data.
  • Must be easily directed and extremely self-sufficient, as this position will require a level of independence both in time management, in judgment and the ability to multi-task.
  • Candidate must be thorough, self-directed, have good organizational skills (time management), have a better than average sense of urgency and an above average ability to think out of the box.
