JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of Product Development leads the team responsible for developing prototype samples through production ready samples in a fast paced environment with expedited timelines.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as the liaison between the Project Implementation team, Apparel Design and Sourcing team to ensure we are meeting customer expectations
  • Ensures on-time delivery of outputs, re-adjusts priorities as needed
  • Meticulously ensures the proper fit, function, and quality of prototype samples
  • Manages the development of comprehensive technical specifications
  • Expertly handles multiple tasks during development including verifying lab dips, strike offs, fabric, and trim qualities
  • Clearly communicates with offshore vendors throughout the development process
  • Manages the team’s daily activities and adjusts work flow when necessary
  • Audits each team member’s productivity for accuracy and quality of work
  • Executes on all directives from Senior Management
  • Performs other duties/Responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s Degree in apparel, textiles, or related
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the apparel product development
  • Proficient in Excel and Adobe Creative Suite
  • PLM experience required
  • Knowledge of pattern-making and sewing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • SAP experience preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
