Inventory Accounts Payable Specialist (Coppell, TX–Hybrid)

JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Accounts Payable Specialist is a hybrid position that will be in the office on an as needed basis. This position performs a variety of job costing and inventory management functions as well as general accounts payable accounting duties. They will also perform clerical tasks required for the efficient processing of the Accounts Payable department goals.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review shipping documents and customs clearance documents
- Accurately process invoice receipts for inventory shipments in SAP
- Communicate with the Sourcing Team to resolve price, quantity and product discrepancies with shipping documents.
- Maintain all shipping documents for each shipment, communicate with vendors and respond to inquiries.
- Review quality control report and issue debit notes upon request by Sourcing Director.
- Assist in month end closing and other projects as needed
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILL/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and administrative skills.
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
