Financial Reporting Manager (Can be remote, but Seminole, FL preferred)

JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Reporting Manager serves a critical role in managing the Company’s monthly close and consolidation process; day-to-day accounting for corporate and shared services areas; external audit administration; internal reporting and SEC reporting; and assessment of new and existing technical accounting developments to ensure the company’s compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the monthly consolidation close process and coordinates preparation of consolidated account analyses, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Serves as a key point of contact for divisional controllers to ensure compliance with accounting policies and GAAP requirements and coordinates with internal teams to ensure that the monthly global accounting close is performed timely and accurately
  • Manages the day-to-day accounting related to the corporate and shared service functions and support senior management with relevant analysis
  • Accurately prepares all financial reports; including income statements, balance sheets and statement of cash flows with variance analysis against prior year, forecast and budget
  • Prepares SEC filings including financial Statements, footnotes, MD&A and other key sections of various SEC filings
  • Coordinates and participates in design, implementation, and monitoring of accounting policies and procedures in compliance with generally accepted accounting and reporting standards.
  • Interfaces with external auditors on accounting issues in support of the company’s accounting, reporting and disclosure positions.
  • Mentors and develops the accounting team, including work allocation, system training, performance evaluations, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic.
  • Special projects, other duties/responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 5 to 10 Years of accounting experience
  • CPA required (can be inactive license)
  • Experience working in an ERP environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, including the ability to perform pivots and V-lookups with Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Strong Knowledge and Understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance and SEC Reporting
  • Experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance related issues
  • Requires good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in Public Accounting a plus
  • SAP experience a plus
