Job Summary

The E-commerce Manager manages the development, release, and maintenance of Web applications and services that support the company’s e-commerce business strategy. The role reviews emerging technologies for impact to current operations and recommends changes that will enhance or improve existing ecommerce efforts. The E-commerce Manager ensures project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. The role requires extensive knowledge of department processes, the current ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), WMS (Warehouse Management System) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management).

This position will report to the Vice President of Information Systems and E-commerce – HPI and work closely with, all HPI business units, parent company divisions, and fortune 500 customers.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Manages project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
  • Manages and ensures proper communication between all involved departments and managers.
  • E-commerce Manager is responsible for assisting all associated teams with launching new client websites, modifications to existing client websites, maintaining the website platform and upgrades to the platform.
  • Assist associated teams with client web reporting, ERP Maintenance and WMS to ERP integration analysis and troubleshooting as it related to web services.
  • Continuously improve usability and enhance the impact of the organization’s E-commerce platform
  • Assist with CRM maintenance and new development.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; computer science, engineering or business preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Information Technology, including project management
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with web design and development
  • Proven success in managing teams (both on-shore and offshore), developing and executing business strategies and building strong relationships with business partners and customers.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce websites and integration between websites and ERP systems

Technical Skills

  • ERP Experience required; SAP experience preferred
  • SAP implementation experience preferred
  • Familiarity with programming languages: Visual Basic, PHP, C#, .NET, with the ability to pick up new languages quickly
  • Working knowledge of Crystal Reports, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, XML, JSON preferred

Technical Design Specialists are able to manage multiple responsibilities while being organized, keeping on top of important time-sensitive tasks, and performing all work accurately.
