JOB SUMMARY

The Corporate Treasurer provides leadership and coordination for the financial operations of the company including banking relationships, global income and sales tax, cash forecasting, credit and collections, accounts payable and other financial matters.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and manages banking relationships. Creates and implements cash management operational strategies to optimize banking services, assure best practices and optimize banking pricing.
  • Oversees credit, collections and accounts payable departments including responsibility for credit decisions with customers
  • Analyzes periodic consolidated counterparty credit risk reports. Identifies key performance metrics and benchmarking data to help identify potential problems. Collaborates with executive leadership to determine and implement optimal strategies to consolidate exposures across investment portfolio, banking, credit lines, and contracts for senior management reporting.
  • Develops financial models and forecasts and drives strategic decision making using appropriate financial analysis. Analyzes periodic summaries of performance results and key attribution measurements and monitors compliance to investment policies.
  • Develops and implements strategies to mitigate risk in highly complex foreign exchange exposure. Partners with executive management to determine optimum investment portfolio structure and strategies for each entity and each investment portfolio. Evaluates and approves alternative hedging strategies and/or instruments such as forwards, currency swaps, options, etc. Directs the execution of foreign exchange coverage through commercial and/or investment banks. Oversees the maintenance and development of systems and procedures to enhance investment/foreign exchange management.
  • Oversees operations to ensure compliance with all applicable local/country regulations including SEC requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Provides management with short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Advises business units on and assists with implementation of accounting and budgeting policies.
  • Manages integration of the financial plans into the strategic plan and creating metrics to measure progress against goals
  • Maintains a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities
  • Uses forward-looking models to provide financial insight into the organization’s plans
  • Guides larger, cross-divisional teams outside of direct span of control within the company’s divisions and business segments. 

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILL/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 5+ Years minimum experience as a senior accounting/finance executive
  • 10+ Years total accounting or finance experience
  • CPA highly preferred (can be inactive license)
  • Excellent analytical reasoning and problem solving skills
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Experience with international operations is a plus
  • Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance related issues
