JOB SUMMARY

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor oversees cash applications and collaborates with internal departments as well as customers to resolve any issues.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Accounts Receivable Manager with collections and with SOX compliance
  • Assist with preparation of information/data for internal and external auditors during quarterly and annually audits
  • Identify and analyze major billing issues to determine their root causes and provide resolutions. Need to demonstrate the reduction of issues over time
  • Resolve unapplied cash exceptions and cash application disputes
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable month-end close process including reconciliation of AR sub-ledger to the GL
  • Identify, analyze and resolve major issues on negative Accounts Receivable amounts. Need to demonstrate the reduction of negative Accounts Receivable amounts over time.
  • Submit tax-exempt certificates for approval by Tax Manager, store documents and verify accuracy of account setup.
  • File dispute claims with customers to request payments back on unauthorized deductions
  • Review credit card transactions, file disputes, manage returned checks, process rebates, review and submit refunds for management approval

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience working in Accounts Receivable
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Intermediate proficiency with SAP
