Senior EDI Specialist (Remote)

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior EDI Specialist will identify and map the changes required by customers within each transaction. The person must be punctual & detail oriented. The successful candidate will be able to develop new mapping files for X12/cXML/Flat File(CSV)/EDIFACT for VAN/AS2/Ariba/Coupa.  Must be able to work after hours in case of emergency. Compensatory time will be given.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes of all EDI documents (810, 850, 856, 945, 997 and so on) on daily basis
  • Develops EDI mapping files for various customers in multiple platforms
  • Works extensively with EDI team to ensure EDI transactions are working as intended
  • Partners with trading partners/internal teams to resolve any operational EDI issues
  • Reviews and troubleshoots SAP iDocs
  • Acts as initial contact for troubleshooting inquiries
  • Coordinates and tests all EDI implementations with new EDI partners
  • Monitors document transmissions
  • Researches and resolves any product mapping errors or issues
  • Maintains the trading partner profile, item cross-reference file, and all other support files
  • Contributes to the development of department documentation of EDI processes
  • Ensures data integrity and security within EDI processes
  • Proactively analyzes reports and target improvements
  • Monitors reports daily for item errors and invoice corrections to allow no delay in transmissions
  • Other duties/responsibilities as required

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in EDI mapping development for 840,846,850,855,856,810,997 X12 EDI docs
  • Experience with EDI development with SAP iDoc
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of handling communication protocols such as VAN, AS2, AS3, FTP, SFTP, etc.
  • Experience with Liaison Delta Mapping tool
  • Strong knowledge of VAN, AS2, AS3 and SFTP connections
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical staff and external trading partners
  • Proven technical proficiency using EDI software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service focus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Liaison ECS server – setting up channels and jobs
  • BS in Computer Science or similar preferred
  • Experience with cXML Coupa integration
  • Experience with Ariba integration
  • XML/CSV integration is added to qualification
  • Experience working on integrations with national store chains
  • Experience setting up and testing AS2/VAN connections
  • Experience with EDIFACT for European countries
