Senior ABAP Developer (Remote)

JOB SUMMARY 

The Sr. ABAP Developer supports the company through interactions with the business process owners and other business leaders in developing and modifying programs and systems to meet business and customer needs, primarily within SAP. This role develops and maintains multiple WMS interface modules for flawless data transactions between SAP and WMS systems.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with business leaders, and occasionally customers, to define requirements for new programs and systems.
  • Design, develop, code, and test complex programs for SAP modules and functions using ABAP programming language.
  • Create specialized reports for SAP modules and custom ABAP applications using ABAP programming languages.
  • Design forms and screens for SAP modules using tools such as SAPscript and SmartForms.
  • Debug and correct complex SAP module problems by using ABAP programming language to implement OSS notes. Assist in the development of implementation and/or cutover plans for new or upgraded systems.
  • Work with IT management and System Administration to further define requirements from a cost, human resource and hardware point of view.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and conceptual skills.
  • Work effectively and independently on assigned projects.
  • Maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with process owners, technical and functional team members, and users.
  • Perform all IT related tasks according to published IT policies and procedures.
  • All Duties/Responsibilities as assigned.
  • Develop/Maintain SAP function modules between SAP and WMS systems and monitor/troubleshoot level 3 WMS interface issues

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years development experience within SAP
  • Microsoft office Suite
  • SAPscript, and SmartForms
  • Dialog Programming
  • User Exits
  • ALV Reports
  • Data Dictionary
  • RFC, BAPI, and BADI
  • ABAP Query
  • IDOC/ALE
  • LSMW
  • Knowledge of multiple SAP Modules such as FI, CO, SD, MM, PP
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP 6.0 environments including testing and implementation of Enhancement Packs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • ABAP development in the Apparel Footwear Solution (AFS) a strong plus.
  • Experience with MS SQL/Oracle is a plus
